In the year 1998, the house was sold again. the new owners, reconstructed the whole house and became a rular hostal. they had to replace all the flooring, redo the colonial stair case and redo as well the whole roof.
In august 2006, the new owner, who according to newer times was no longer "un indiano" but "una indiana" arrived in vilela. Maria Rosa Fisas, born in barcelona, emigrated to venezuela but remained deeply in love with galicia, wanted to come back and stay in this beautiful region, bought casa donano and transformed it into the new house of rular tourism.
The house was redecorated with furniture and art peces brought from the other side of the ocean, restarting like "destiny's doing" the original history.
The mixture and combination of pieces and colors along with the owner's dedication and love for it, make the ambiance of CASA DOÑANO almost what it used to be in it's beginnings. Also the diversity of galician products and the owner's love for the authentic "galician cuisine", make this mansion the perfect place for anyone's memories who has stayed or will stay at casa donano.
